ArchiCAD crashes all the time on OS X Yosemite 10.10.

When is ArchiCAD 18 being released which will be more stable Yosemite.

Cheers

BIMx doesn't work at all on Yosemite B3. The application will not launch manually or when double-clicking a BIMx model file to open it.

I haven't tried publishing or saving a BIMx model in Yosemite B3.
Thanks for the heads up Eric, we are working on a solution.

Something else I've noticed on Yosemite B3 is that the screen flickers whenever an operation is performed that requires a screen redraw (like zooming, for example).

Any remedy for that? Changing the 2d acceleration didn't do anything.

Just a word of common sense about upgrading any OS. Before any operating system upgrade we advise that you:

a. Have external back-ups of your data.
b. Pick an appropriate time to upgrade the OS (when deadline pressures are lower)
c. Have a method to restore computer to its previous state if needed.

Usually if you have these things in place very little to nothing will go wrong and the precautions will go unused. If these precautions are not put in place then you are almost guaranteed to have bumps in the road. Murphy's law.

A CNET article I recommend (from last year but contains universal advice that still applies):CNET | 5 things to do before upgrading to OS X Mavericks

Eric,

we are testing 10.10 on a great number of Macs, but so far we haven't noticed flickering.
Could you share the specs of the Mac you have 10.10 on?

Thanks,
Marton

Will the 18 hotfix be coming anytime soon?
We'd like to upgrade but incompatibility issues with BIMx
(not to mention the stability issues between Cadimage/Maxwell and AC18) have us in a holding pattern.

plus will not be able to use a new retina iMac preloaded with 10.10. but overall it looks like main 10.10 & archicad issues are with bimx and some add ons, right?
