ArchiCAD12 compatible SketchUP add-on available for download

Not applicable
Dear Users,

We are pleased to announce the availability of the ArchiCAD 12 Windows compatible SketchUP add-on. The International and German packages are available for download from the Graphisoft web site. Further localized versions will be released in the next weeks.

Notes:
- Due to an error in underlying (non-Graphisoft) technology necessary to develop the Add-On, we are unable to release the Macintosh version for ArchiCAD 12. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.
- The current SketchUP add-on supports .skp file format up to v6. When you exchange data with the SketchUP application, please be sure that the appropriate file format is used.

This doesn't affect me, being on XP, but just being curious. What it is that makes a Mac version impossible for AC10, 11 & 12 (there was an add-on for AC9 on Mac).

We couldn't create the add-on because the necessary MAC API support from Google wasn't available.

PeterKis,
Can you explain to us non-techies: What is API support?

Is there any hope that this ill be resolved in the future, or are mac users just hosed again?

Cheers
