Maybe for the next release, there can be added a separate "3d-polyline" and extrude along a profile of handrail besides the existing guardrail / handrail function, with the ability to edit the 3d-polyline in 2d & 3d. I know this function is in the ArchiForma (which I am considering to purchase as well), but maybe a specialized version of this function can be added to ArchiStair to make it complete! If this 3d Polyline setting was applied to the existing guardrail / handrail top as well, it will be superb.
Maybe a default 3d polyline can be setup along a given value above the treads as they are now - w/ the ability to edit them as desired.
Just a thought...

I full agree with you and this was the main field of developing of the next major release.
But, if you can, could you be so kind to send me a more detailed list of what you dream of?
Please don't use this forum (here I'm guest of GS) but directly send me your requests.

What I can't do : I can't make stair 1 to be as stair 3.
Or did I missed something? If I click at yellow marked area at stair 1, all rails at that side goes off (stair 2)
So if this option doesn't exist, then I want it in the next release 😃

Now ArchiStair isn't anymore free of charge.
You can buy it (86 Euro) from our web site:

thanks for the announcement - I've just gone to the link - is Archistair only compatible up to AC9? We're working in AC11 now - don't get me wrong I much appreciate the hard work that must go into producing ArchiStair - just need to know whether or not I should download it.

Fabrizio wrote:Well, I wish I had read this post before I forked out $140 to Objects Online yesterday afternoon for a DOWNLOADED copy of Archistair. I cannot serialize it. I wasn't offered as a DVD version on the WEB site. Who the He__ do I take this up with? Objects online closes for the weekend and I needed this product for a complex record document I was suppose to have finished by Monday morning. Back to modeling with slabs I guess and grieving my $140 DEMO version..
Dear ArchiStair users,
in order to avoid any trouble let me post this very important suggestion:
1. you can get ArchiStair only asking for its “DVD-box” (I mean it will never be downloadable from the web)
2. to use ArchiStair you MUST serialize it. Without unlock code you can use it only as demo version but the Demo mode don’t let you create/edit/handle the stair: you will only able to browse the ArchiStair dialog window
3. to serialize ArchiStair (just like the other Cigraph add-ons) you need you Registration ID: without your personal Registration ID you CANNOT get the unlock code
4. PLEASE, PAY ATTENTION: the Registration ID is on a sticker on the outside of the shrink-wrap on the package.
5. Ion order to avoid any trouble, please, conserve this Registration ID in a safety place.
Thank you very much

They don't distribute this on DVD anymore. (This was in the early days of the release.) Only through downloads at this point. OO SHOULD have provided a registration ID when you purchased, and you would use that to serialize.
