There is no need to do something like this!!!
Simply copy the object and paste it in the other plan or save it as module file and merge it into the new file.
While there may not be a need, creating a Module of the desired plan items and then hotlinking this module in the Site Plan (separate PLN) is how we are choosing to operate. I may reconsider this, but I would prefer only having the Hotlink within the Site plan and not the separate Stair objects. I will just continue to turn "off" the 2D handrails.

Seems like this post is the official/unofficial ArchiStair forum, kinda like a forum within a forum...

So I'll just post this here then. I'm trying to create a custom stair, but I'm having an issue. The top platform/landing/special/whatever doesn't show. I tried calling it a landing, a "special" (whatever that is), and still no luck. I am attaching a pic to hopefully explain it. Any ideas?

I never say to use a separate Stair object!
Using ArchiStair you don't get "separate/individual" object but you always use the same object with different settings.
If you save the object as GSM this won't be anymore an ArchiStair object but a library part saved by ArchiCAD and I cannot provide you with any help on it.
This is the main reason because I suggested you to copy/paste the object or to save as module and MERGE (not use it as hotlink!!!) it into your project: you won't get a different object, it always the same with the same settings.

I suppose the best solution is to send me your pln file including just the fills because here it works for me... look at the attached image.

Since we are not to place any of our ArchiStair Objects (Mostly the exterior stairs that are seen in plan on the Site plan), what are the rest of you doing?

Are you creating a Module or merging your whole PLN building plan into a Site plan PLN? Or are you creating a Hotlink of the objects in the Building plan File (PLN) that you want to Link to Site plan, excluding any Stair created with ArchiStair. And then Copy/Paste any Archistairs into the Site PLN. Seems like an Extra step , but if thats what ArchiStair Requires I quess that is what we will do. I can not imagine using AC Stairmaker Again....

Done. Please let me know if you got it okay (or did't). I included my faulty stair also, just in case.

as I promised before... just to keep you informed!

The tread "supports" are still missing but they will be totally parametric, I mean you will be able to choose different solution.

BTW, Sergio was right!

He found an ArchiStair bug, I already suggested him a workaround that let him correctly display the stair.
We will fix this bug as soon as possible.

Thanks Sergio!
