Are there templates in ArchiCAD?
Can you draw lines and text in ArchiCAD?

Is it possible to import/export between the two?

I am using ArchiCAD 12 Educational and AutoCAD LT 2000i.

There is also a book called ArchiCAD for AutoCAD users which you may find very useful in your transition. It is a brand new 2009 edition and came out just a couple of weeks ago:
