Bring Autocad drawings to layout book

Anonymous
Not applicable
The senior detailer in my office is drawing in Autocad.

Here's the work flow I would like:
1. He develops his details, arrange them on a sheet in paper space.
2. We place the drawings in the Layout book. They remain live DWGs.
3. Modifications made in Autocad are automatically updated in Archicad.

Having the DWG place in model space is easy, but means that we need to redo his layout work in Archicad.

Appending his paper space work onto layouts is also not OK.

In previous versions, he created PDFs that we placed on layouts in Archicad.
BTW, suggesting he simply prints his sheets directly from Autocad discards too much of Archicad's functionality, we'd prefer not to do that.

Thanks.

Oh, and the new Teamwork BIM server thing IS TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!

Any suggestions?

You can have your detailer make up the sheet of details in autocad and place that directly in the layout book.
