At a guess I would say you have used a view to open the schedule.
Layer combinations are saved with the views and I would say that when the schedule view was created the layer combination set has a layer hidden that you want to use.
The problem with this is that the layer combinations are greyed out in the schedule view so you can't change it.
Schedule views are not supposed to use layers (which is why they are greyed out) but it still actually uses a layer combination that was active when the view is created.
Rather than recreating the schedule views with an "All Layers On' layer combination (or at least your 'Electrical' layer combination, just have your floor plan display the layers you want (i.e. electrical) and use the Project Map rather than the View Map to open the schedule.
You won't get hidden layers this way.
This has been mentioned to Graphisoft some time ago but still nothing has been done to allow us to re-define the layer combination in the view settings.
Even using "Redefine with Current Window Settings" doesn't work.
It changes scale, MVO, pen set, etc., but not layer combination as that is greyed out!
Barry.

Sorry I tell an un-truth.
Just checked version 20 and it seems we can indeed change the layer combination of a schedule view.
I don't use 20 a lot at the moment.
My apologies to Graphisoft.
So all you should need to do is go into the settings for your schedule view and change the layer combination to something that has the hidden layer turned on.

Thanks Barry.
By fluke, I was turning on and off the criteria of each of the field in. the scheme settings ...and now I can type into the cell.

Good to hear you got it working.
Changing the criteria may have turned off something using the hidden layer is all I can think has happened.
Changing the fields (which was the image you attached) - I can't see why that would have had an affect.
But you have it working which is the important thing.
Sorry it seems your attached image is not showing now (at least for me).
I deleted your duplicate post and it seems that it did something to the image in the other post which I could not undo.
