I am trying to import a file into Archicad and the only way to accomplish this, is as an object. Is there an option to import it as an IFC file?

Thanks

Yes.

But the quality of the import depends on how well ArchiCAD understands the IFC slang that C4D speaks. In any case, beware of the polygons!

Actually your reply refers to the Archicad export. I am looking for an IFC export through Cinema 4D..
