ARCHICAD Template and DWG Translator Problem
Issue: A DWG file exported from ARCHICAD might have different content than the ARCHICAD file.
Cause: It might have happened that the file was saved as DWG using a template DWG file created by ARCHICAD.
Solution: Use template DWG saved only from AutoCAD or if it's necessary, use template saved from ARCHICAD only if it does not contain any elements.
DWG Saved from Layout Does Not Open in AutoCAD Paper Space
Issue: When a DWG is saved from the layout book of ARCHICAD it will open up in model space in AutoCAD instead of paper space.
Cause: At present this is a limitation in ARCHICAD by design.
Solution: After opening the DWG in AutoCAD switch to paper space manually.
AutoCAD displays alert when opening DWG files written by ARCHICAD:
This alert is displayed when AutoCAD detects that the DWG file you are trying to open was not created by an Autodesk product or a product that licenses Autodesk's RealDWG developer kit.
