Dynamic Data base for engineering

Is there any way to list weights or physical properties of materials for composite walls etc. ?

I want to be able to easily figure out exact loads for concrete slabs using a dynamic data base, but honestly I'm not sure where to start.

Thanks

Dave!

You can assign all manner of data to all types of building elements using property objects. For more info search AC-talk and the WIKI, check out the manual and Eric Wilk wrote a book on the subject. It can be a rather complex process but with a narrow scope such as the element weight it shouldn't be too bad.

Thanks for the post, I did get a chance to read some material on the subject.

Definitely not an easy task, as well as time consuming! Sheesh!
