Elevation Displacement Issue with IFC Translated File

I am working on some problems my team is having with how an IFC file from our plumbing consultant is displaying after we translate & hotlink it into our main Teamwork file.

The process for translation was to open the IFC file with the translator template we have set up for this consultant, then save it to our Teamwork server as a Teamwork file.

We then hotlink that file into our main Teamwork file.

My team members have noticed that in plan view, individual horizontal pipe runs are visible, but pipe fittings (elbows, tees, etc) that are set to the same story are not visible.

In a 3D view all pipes and fittings are visible and display how they should.

However, further investigation reveals something odd:

This pipe has its home story set to Level 2, with no elevation offset. We can see that it displays in 3D as being in the same plane as the fitting at its end.

This pipe fitting is also set to have its home story on Level 2, however it shows as having a large elevation offset above Level 2. But in the 3D window it looks like it is in the same plane as the pipe it is connected to.

Problem03.png

Setting the fitting to match the pipe - with an elevation offset of zero - pushes the pipe fitting back down.

It seems to me this is what is causing the floor plan view display problems, the pipes are theoretically below the cutting plane of the floor plan view, and therefore visible, but the pipe fitting elevation offset causes it to be above the floor plan cutting plane, and therefore invisible in plan view.

Has anyone encountered anything similar? Is there a known cause, and are there any options for fixing this issue?
