What is the best way to export a 3d dwg from AC? (is it possible?)

I haven't tried (never had a need to), but what if from the 3D window you 'Save As' and change the file type to DWG?

 

Otherwise, does it have to be DWG?

Can you save as IFC which is a recognised model exchange format for the 3D model?
