File size DWG-PLN conversions

I am having trouble with the large files generated when I convert into
Autocad from Archicad and vice versa. Sometimes the difference factor will be 10X. Is there a simple way to cut down size without losing the drawing essence?

turn off your fill display . . . does that help?

Another one is: make sure your line weights are set to Hairline.
