Has everyone see the Orthgraph Architect for iPad Videos?

I've got two videos up on my blog along with the official press release. Makes me very jealous of anyone who has access to the app, the desktop application, and an ipad. (of which I have none...) Enjoy:

Before or after watching the videos, there's an interesting tidbit about the Orthograph / ArchiCAD connection:

Very nice! A whole lot better than carrying a lap top around a job site. Thanks for the info!

The current Orthograph Survey requires a $2200 piece of desktop software to read the data off of a windows mobile device. I hope the same price tag isn't applied to the product for the iPad.

From what I saw, you can buy the software for $49 load it on your iPad and then import the file directly into ArchiCad.
Unless I'm mistaken.

The Orthograph Architect app is only 40 Euro. But the software you need to do anything with it (Orthograph Survey) is 2,400 Euro.

From their site..."OrthoGraph Architect integrates DropBox for saving projects in native OrthoGraph format – compatible only with OrthoGraph Survey. This way drawings can be printed and converted to ArchiCAD (native) and SketchUP (SKP). The support of AutoCAD (DWG) is soon to come. OrthoGraph doesn't print or save these formats from the iPad directly."

It looked great otherwise.

A bit more news on this. They just released an add-on for direct importing into ArchiCAD. You can use it in a limited fashion for free or the paid version is 400 euros. I've got the full news here: http://www.shoegnome.com/?p=598

Of course I still don't have an ipad or that many euros...

I was very interested in the Orthograph to ArchiCAD app for the iPad as well until I found out about the cost of the importing Add-on. Very expensive. I started to look elsewhere and found iCAD. Does the same thing and has a version for the iPad, iPhone (not optimum but...) and other Tablets. Works very well and exports an IFC file that can be brought into ArchiCAD. Works great and does not require an Add-on. Find it on the App Store.

Chad:

I can't seem to find the app that you are referring to. The one
I did find was for radiology.
