DWG export, shells missing in floor plan?

Hello,

I stumbled into a problem with shells.

I tried to export DWGs from a project with shell elements in it. The shell elements show up fine in the sections and facades, but on floor plan they are completely missing. Everything else outputs normally.

I quickly tried this with a blank project also; drew a random shell and a wall using the default settings, and exported using the default exporter. In the resultant DWG the wall shows up normally, the shell is - again - missing.

Is there some obscure translator setting or some other vital option I'm missing here...?

EDIT:
This behaviour was confirmed by local reseller. They're studying it now. So it seems to me that this is a bug. If so, it's rather huge IMO... A workaround for now is to render the floorplans into worksheets, which will (as simple 2d elements) show the shells too.

Has someone else confirmed this behaviour? I suspect this cannot be a bug that is present only in the localized (FIN) version.

Dear Samppa,

your observation is right, this time the Floor Plan view of Shells cannot be exported to DWG.
It is a known issue which is scheduled to be fixed in the next Hotfix of ArchiCAD 15.

As an other workaround I can recommend to explode the Shell with keeping original elements too (Edit/Reshape/Explode into Current view). This option will turn selected elements into basic elements which can be correctly exported to dwg.

Ok, Thank you for your response, Katalin. Good to know this is being fixed.

I should add that the first workaround method was suggested by the local reseller, would not have thought of that myself. And thank you for the other workaround method. We can work things out with these for now!
