I am structural engineer who uses AutoCAD LT 2017 and would like some input on Archicad files

Hello everyone,

As I posted in the subject title, I am structural engineer and I often have to put in a lot of time to set up the architectural backgrounds that architects sent for me in dwg format.
Does any one knows what is the best way to export the file to dwg format such as full height walls, partial height walls, stairs, etc., so I can quickly isolate for example full height wall layer and copy them into my structural backgrounds.

Thank you,

ArchiCAD uses a "translator" to import and export DWG files. If you send your architects the layers/colors/lineweights, etc. that you would like to use, they can input it into the translator and the process should become pretty seamless.
