Import customer information from Excel file to "Project Information panel" in AC

Hi everyone,

In our architecture office, we use a Excel file with every informations (name, adress) for each customer.
I would like to know if its possible to link an Excel file to the "Project Information" panel in AC.

I know that it's possible to import and export a XML file from the "Project information" panel.
It works between two AC files.
But when I modify this XML file (for example to link to my customer Excel file) and try to import it into AC, AC said that the file is not recognized.

Has anyone ever thought about that question?

Have you compared an XML file that you exported from AC, with the one that you got from Excel? I'm not sure, but I suspect the structure may be different.

I faced a similar problem when I experimented with creating my own classification system inside a spreadsheet. It worked (sort of) after I did a bit of manual copy-pasting into the structure that Archicad expected.
