Importing KMZ files AC19

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hey guys,

First time post here first time ever needed to post in a forum.
I'm using AC19 student version and I'm struggling to import KMZ (google earth) files into my project as I'm building up my sites context. I also have the SKP files

Any help would be really appreciated!

What is the exact nature of the problem?
Do you get an error message at some point?
Could you attach a screenshot that would show the exact situation?

I had to change to AC18 because the machines at university only have 18, just using it for now.

I got it to work using a the skp file after saving it as sketchup version 8.

I have a 'location setting' error message when dropping it in.

I've tried all the options and nothing happens, I can't see the file in plan or 3D

Sorry forgot to mention that the issue with dropping it in is with the kmz file type.

Sorry

Maybe the solution is what the error message suggests: that you should save those files from Google Earth with the Absolute Altitude method and see if those come in properly.
