Thought this might be of some interest to those who deal with the structural aspects of their AC model/C.D's. as I do.
Simpson has a new bolt together moment frame system.
I've already got my Engineer on board with two of them for residential remodel I'm currently working on.
In just a few minutes you can essentially design your own bolt together
M.F. and know the load values!

Thanks Lec. I haven't used these yet but have used the shear walls which are also very handy in some locations.

The only downside other than cost to these solutions for residential is that it is a little difficult to get enough insulation into the wall where these things are located. At least up here in the great white north where we need R-20 in the walls.
