Having trouble exporting an Epix file. The export goes fine until about 3/4 way through the "exporting z channel", then just sits thre and task manager says archicad is not responding. Waited for a good 15 minutes. Still nothing. File is 28 meg. I've tried to marqee the area I need only, but same thing happens. Any thoughts?

I never could get 8.1 to put out a epx file. I always had to go through Artlantis. One thing about going through artlantis is that it is easy to quickly assign textures etc. and then soften them up with Pirenasi.

I do believe the 8.1 Piranesi Out was not great. It was improved in 9.0.
If you have Artlantis, It produces a good Piranesi File.
You might try making your 8.1 rendering size smaller and or less complex.
You might also try saving your ArchiCAD Rendering as an image say a TIF and using Piranesi / File/New Create an EPix file from an Image file.

An Epix file is a TIF with additional information. So you will not have the additional information ie: Material and Depth, but it might serve you in a pinch.
