Publishing PDF / DWG / DXF to work in ILLUSTRATOR || Preseve Archicad layers

Hi community,

Does anyone have find a way to preserve layer structure when importing either an Archicad PDF / DWG / DXF into illustrator ?

I've look at many posts and didn't find my answer yet. For PDF's for instance, it seems that the way that it is converted into .PDF matters. See this post on adobe forum.

I'd like to know if anyone as found a way of achieving this! Any work arounds ?

Regards,

Charles C.

there are pdf save options to preserve layers... so it's probably a question for adobe... layers seem to show up fine in bluebeam; but maybe not in illustrator?

@Patrick M ,

Exactly, in illustrator the .PDF keeps its layers only if it is saved in a specific manner. Read post here. Otherwise, there are no problem when viewing my Archicad .PDF in acrobat, layers are maintained.

I need a workaround ..
