noob: How can i export into maya

I have had a look around and cannot see how to do it.

Can someone give me some help please?

What format should i export as ... will this retain textures etc?

Switch to the 3D window
-> File -> Save As…
-> Select Wavefront as file type.

If the results is not as expected try 3DS
