Have you tried ticking the "Show uniform items as a single entry" box?

yeah i have, that seems to only work if all the elements in every field match..

EG: all the same length height area thickness etc.. then it will group them together.. i was hoping to group all the "wall types" field in to one

Yes because you have the thickness, height and length then they will make the entries unique if they are different values - so they won't group.

The thickness is not a problem in your case because they will group with each different wall type.
You could do away with wall height as you don't seem to need this in your totals.
The problem is with the length.
Because each wall is different they will list separately.
Only by deleting this column will your entries group.

I think it is strange that if the wall lengths are different then they will list as separate entries.
But if the wall surface area is different then they will still group (so long as you are not listing the height, length, etc).

There is not a lot that you can do except to delete those columns.
