hello,
we are experiencing a problem with print quality and consistency from AC14 to various xerox printers (.i.e. xerox 510 DP, apeosport 4400 & C5540).
when we print either directly from archicad or from apple preview (SL = 10.6.
then we get a print which randomly prints some areas of fills in a much lighter colour - there is no cover fill or anything in the file that would cause this to happen.
so we did a couple of tests from various macs and preview and adobe reader 9.4.6 & 10.1.1.. please refer additional posts below.
needless to say the xerox technician was also not very helpful.
any ideas what might be causing this or tips on how to get rid of it would be greatly appreciated.

here a scan of the same file printed from adobe reader 9.4.6 to the xerox apeosport 4400 - notice that the hatch lines are interrupted and not continuous, in fact they print as a dashed line type.

I'd like to revive this thread because we're getting this on ArchiCAD 18 (6000 USA Full) with a Cannon C5035.
The problem occurs when printing from ArchiCAD, Acrobat, or Preview; although the problem areas appear different depending on what program we print from. There is nothing different about the splotchy area, in fact it is the same exact wall.
Very frustrating. Any ideas?
