Amyuni PDF not recognizing installed fonts?

I've installed a font on my computer that's not one of the stock ArchiCAD or MS fonts. It appears in ArchiCAD, it appears on the layouts, but the PDF program doesn't appear to recognize it, and either ignores it completely ("prints" no text at all) or translates it as garbage.

I'm printing to the PDF generator... should I save-as instead? This happens with publisher sets and with individually printed layouts.

Does anyone use the Amyuni PDF program, and do you know how to encourage it to recognize new installed fonts?

Thanks...

You can set the font embedding settings within the printer driver. On a PC, you can go to Start >Printers & Faxes> right click on Amyuni and select Printing Preferences. The go to the Advanced options... tab and check the Font Embedding option and the Embeddding Options.

Keep in mind that this is a permanent change (until you repeat/undo the same procedure). As opposed to editing the same settings within ArchiCAD, which only sets these options for the project you are in.

Couldn't fix it in the printer settings... apparently it's not licensed. Hrmph. Guess we'll have to find a legit copy (tho I kinda thought this was one...) of the font software and purchase it.

Having the same problem. Embedding the font on the Amyuni setup worked, but nothing works when trying to Publish to a .pdf. I get a great drawing with not one letter of text...no labels, dimensions, section markers,.......nada, diddley, squat, nyet, zip, nothin........
I got this font from another person, so I suspect it was not licensed either. However, I can't find the original place to buy it from....apparently it was from some place in Hawaii that is no longer in busines.
It only happens if I migrate a project, not if I start a project with the text new. I have four years of projects that now will not publish to a pdf in AC11.
Was wondering if there is any easy way to substitute one text font for another without doing every element on every floor.

Same problem here. In AC11, it appears there are no font embedding or multi-language or compression options as we had previously with the Amyuni driver. In fact there are very few PDF creation options.

My standard font (Architxt) which I have used for years does not appear in the PDF and is not substituted, just blank. I tried some other fonts and other ways to print:
1) Saving to PDF from model view: Architxt printed fine; City Blueprint messed up.
2) Saving to PDF from layout or Publisher: Architxt did not print; City Blueprint messed up.
3) Printing to PDF using Amyuni (installed by AC10): All fonts are good.

So, with my XP machine I can use the old Amyuni driver to correctly print PDF's, but with the Vista machine I'm stuck with basic Arial fonts? We were told PDF creation was much improved in AC11!??

This is not an Amyuni problem IMHO, this is an AC11 problem. As far as I can tell, checking all three boxes under Embedding in the Amyuni settings handles any font I can throw at it.
