Dimensions out of cropped view

Hi- I am having a strange issue pertaining to dimensions. The dimensions affected seem to be dimensions linked to elevs and sections created from the model. When updating a view, some dimensions shoot out of the cropped view as if tied to something out of the cropped view. When I update the view again all looks correct. Has anyone ever experienced this? Thanks in advance for your help.

Operating system used: Mac Intel-based Monterey 12.4

I haven’t personally experienced this mystery of the disappearing dimensions but hopefully someone here may be able to explain what is happening in this instance ?
