Disappearing view maps on refresh

View maps disappear during refresh, has anyone solved this?
Saw a few earlier similar queries, but no answers.

Many thanks

As the first step, I would suspect a graphics card driver problem. A driver update may help.
Another question: is your Navigator docked? Does your whole Navigator disappear or only the View Map? If your Navigator is not docked there is an Auto-hide feature (accessible by right clicking the title bar of the Navigator) which will make it disappear when you click anywhere other than the Navigator.

Thanks for reply
Graphics driver is current and card functionable. Navigator is docked.
When model is updated, even adding a line, when switching to layouts, view maps inserted will go blank, all layers on, nothing moved behind view map.
All levels revised require to be reinserted etc. Doesn't happen with all .pln files, tried copying to stable file, but can re-occur.
It's as if there's a button somewhere hiding the data!!!

Do you mean a Drawing placed on a Layout?
So you place a View as a Drawing on a Layout. Then you change something in the View, go to the Layout and the Drawing is now blank? Is this what you mean?

Yes, thats it

Then re insert all the viewmaps again, until you change something again.

I would say there must be something about either the settings with which your Views are stored, especially the Zooming setting, or the way you place those Drawings on the Layout.

So what Zooming setting do you use when saving those Views?
And how do you place the Views?
Do you drag-and-drop a View in the Organizer onto the Layout?
Or do you open a Layout and drag-and-drop a View from the Navigator to the Layout?
Do you drag-and-drop Viewpoints (Project Map) or Views (View Map)?

Zoom settings, view extents of info, scale retained at 1:100
Save views, right mouse over storey in navigator
Drap and drop view maps onto the layout from the navigator
I have expanded blanked viewmaps on layout to check for hidden detail, switched all layers on, but no joy.

Someone would have to look at that file because from this distance I cannot think of what the problem could be.

Are your drawings in the layouts set to "Fit frame to drawing"?
Also check the default for the drawing tool before you drag the views onto the layout.

I have the same problem occuring :

I'm using an old file (made with AC 6,5) that I reopened and started to work with using AC12 (2156 FRA FULL)

I right-click an place the wiew in the layout,
I refresh the drawing,
The drawing disappear... (the grey outlined rectangle becomes empty).

If you enlarge the view in the layout, it seems the original drawing has gone about 500 m on the upper right... I re-frame the drawing ... re-refresh ... re disappeared !

I already had this problem before and I had to copy/paste the whole project : any idea ?
