Hi there,
The display of the elevations and cross sections in the published plan is reduced to the marker head.
I am wondering how can I get visible the line and the limits of the elevation/sections when the marker head is in the middle ? The line is not present the limits of the Elevation sides is unknown.
It seems to me there's no option for the elevation to have the marker head visible at the ends of the cross lines. Is there a reason why only the cross section has that option ?
Is there an Elevation Marker object that would allow to change the way it looks on the plan ?
Thank you in advance for your suggestions !
Kind regards,
Raoul

Elevations can have a marker head at each end.

Hello Barry,
Thank you for your feedback!
I am sorry.
There is a confusion in my text. When I was mentionning Cross Sections I was refering to Sections. When I was mentionning, Elevations I was refering to Interior Elevations. The Interior Elevations do not have the marker heads at the ends. I think they should.
In the meantime, the line and the limits of the Interior Elevations are not shown on the published plans and only visible on the screen. Is there a way to see those lines on the published plan ?
Kind regards,

As you noted, interior elevations only have one marker, or a combined common marker for a group of interior elevations.
I guess this is because it looks less cluttered to have a single marker when it come to individual rooms.
Personally I don't use the interior elevations.
I just use the section tool.
Although I do hide the section line layer and show a separate single marker object in the centre of the room.
And now in version 30, you can create folders in the viewpoints (project map) so the room elevations can be separated from the main sections and cloned in the view map.
As for showing the extents or limits of the interior elevations, that is a purely on screen only view as you also noted.
That is the same for all sections and elevations.
None of their limits show in the final output, again I think for clarity.

Thank you Barry for your thorough response.
Concerning the type of marker for Interior Elevation showing or not the extent and their line, I find it would be much usefull if Graphisoft gives users a choice : a simple ON/OFF button would solve the problem.
For Interior Elevations, I find the presence of these lines essential, to make visible the areas that are detailed on the plan. Usually the Interior Elevation and Detailed Interior Arangement plans are at scales of 1/25; 1/20 which allows for more space on the plan for annotations. For example the interior elevation of a long corridor (e.g. 20-25m long) with only one little indication marker in the middle of it doesn't really help. Today, you find it with difficulty on the plan (most probably after a long search) and you don't know its extent, because ArchiCAD doesn't allow you to make visible the line. That is not more than wierd.
Kind regards,
Raoul
