Indexing in plotmaker 3.1

After completing a rather large standard detail library
for the construction dept of my company,
I came to wonder if there was anyway of using
the text strings used to number the pages and
call those back to another string to create a true index
in Plotmaker it's self!

If anyone can offer some tips or advice it would be
greatly appreciated

I haven't found a good way to do this. I'll put this in the Wish List.
