Interior Elevations. don't let me snap or magnet select

I tried searching but just too many general terms that I get nothing I'm looking for.

When in an interior elevation I can not use magnet select. The magnetic button is highlighted but I only have the arrow. Space bar does nothing. I can select say a cabinet with window select but only if the window hits a line of the cabinet. If I window select on like a drawer front but don't hit a line of the drawer with the window it doesn't select anything. Also it won't snap to anything so I can't dimension it. My snaps and magnet are working and on however. I can open a section or any other thing besides an interior elevation and magnet and snaps work as intended. It's driving me crazy. I'm pretty sure I could snap and magnet select things in interior elevations before. I tried on archicad 18 and it lets me magnetic select and snap on interior elevations so I don't think they would have taken it out.

OK. I figured it out kind of. If you set the vertical range to limited, set the floor to something other than project zero(like first floor) and then don't set the range from something other than top 0 and bottom 0 then you can't select anything without window select even though it will still show the entire interior elevation. I set it to limited, first floor, the top to the floor height and then snaps and magnet work as intended.

Update. It only doesn't work in one set of (4)interior elevations. It works in my other ones. I think I just copied the marker and it's in a clone folder. I couldn't find a difference in any of the settings between the none working one and working ones.

Same is true for sections, I would guess anything that has a limited vertical range option, if you set the range from zero to zero, it will show the elements but not snap to anything.
