I am wondering is there anyway to plot/link a boundary lines on plan view to elevations/sections?

Use a Morph line as a workaround.

I think most people would use a Mesh that follows the boundary lines. https://helpcenter.graphisoft.com/knowledgebase/86593

You can use the grid tool also. Varying levels of success depending on your setout and boundary complexity.
