Layer list wont alphabetize

Hi - I am really having trouble getting layers with the first few letters *identical* to appear together in the layer drop down list

Even clicking on the layername field button at top of list does not sort the layers by name! -

Very frustrating when even the first letter is ignored by sort
- screenshot attached.

What is the solution? Is this a known bug?

Cheers

Looks like the first group of "Plan" layers has a space in front of the name.

Its a good trick for organizing when you don't want them to be in alphabetical order.

Well spotted!
That was exactly right. I have been using this standard template with those layer names for years & never noticed it before!

At 1600x1200 and with such a small font it is very hard to pick unless you are looking for it (my excuse anyway!)

I was looking for a much more complicated explanation - silly me 😉

Thanks

Paul
