Layouts

I've yet to update to 8.1 yet.

Does the new plotmaker with 8.1 allow you the have two different sets of layouts in one book (for example 11x17 prelim and a 18x24 working) and both be numbered separately. Unless I missed something in PM 3 when I tried this automatic numbering include both sets. So if the prelim had 5 pages and the working had 10 the title pages the prelim would read 1 of 15 adding them as a whole.
Thanks,

we tend to split our plotmaker layouts down into different books to allow more than one person to work on them at once, however recently i had cause to create various subsets of drawings in the book: choose 'new subset' from the navigator as shown in the attached picture.

using 3.1 (and i would imagine 3.0 as well - as i said i had not previously tried it) it is possible to define a different numbering system for each subset. simply right-click on your subset folder and choose 'settings'. you can define the automatic numbering here just as you would for the whole book. the two can be different numbering systems should you choose . . .

hope this helps
