Mirroring Label issue

I have mirrored whole houses for many years, 100's of times. Old files always mirrored as expected, but something changed at some point and labels changed their behavior.  My guess is that it started with the introduction of associated labels, even if it is turned off. But, perhaps I am missing a setting somewhere? In the past I could open a building section after mirroring, select anything added to it... fills, text, and labels then mirror those all at once, and maybe drag it a bit, and all was done. Now, the labels mirror around the tip of the arrow, I think. On a plan I just mirrored, some labels mirrored as desired, and some from the arrow tip. So I had to manually select each one and mirror them individually. The only difference I can find is the ones off the tip have the association as an option (but not checked).  My guess is the other labels, that mirrored as needed and don't have the associate option shown (as per screen shot), predate that AC feature. I have plans I have developed for decades so no telling when it started. That said, not selecting the associated option should make it behave as always.. but??? Am I missing something?  Thanks

Thanks for the input Barry.  It wasn't actually that in my case. What I was missing was going to the tool settings and trying what was available (with a new label), rather than realizing the Geometry Method is not available there, but only in the tool box.  Go figure. So, selecting all labels, and using the drop down menu, then select "Convert To Independent Label" fixed my issue.  If I simply select all labels, and go to the tool box, all are greyed out, but the contextual menu will change them.  At least now I know to changing the default setting in the tool box first.

Thanks

"Hide with associated element" means the label is associated to something. it just won't be hidden if the objects layer is different to the label, and hidden.

I think you will find it is to do with the marker or label rotation setting.

Yes, the geometry settings are only available in the tool box (info box) before you place the label.

They are not available in the tool settings (not sure exactly why not) and they will be greyed out once you select an already placed label.

Making a label independent, automatically switches that marker or label rotation setting that I showed you.

But now you have made them independent, they are no longer associated with the element you labelled.

Move or delete that element and the label will remain where it was.
