Model View Option: Show Section Markers

Hi All,

Does anyone know what is this option good for
Why do you want to display or print your section markers as elevation style markers and vice versa
IMHO this option is totally needless.
Has anyone got opposite opinion

It's a legacy setting. Prior to Archicad 9 (or was it 8.1?), the "section" option was all that existed and a lot of people had different workarounds to get their section markers to look right.

If that setting were not there, markers from older project files may not look right.
