How can I show hidden stair treads as dashed lines in a section?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to create a stair in Archicad where the steps that are behind/hidden in the section are shown as dashed lines, similar to the example in the attached image.

I would like the visible parts of the stair to appear with solid lines, while the hidden treads are represented with dashed lines, like in a typical architectural section drawing.

I’ve looked through the Stair Settings, but I can’t find the option that controls this representation in Section.

Is there a specific setting in Archicad that allows hidden stair elements to be displayed as dashed lines in a section? Or would this need to be done using Graphic Overrides or 2D drafting?

I’m using Archicad on Mac.

Thanks!

There are no settings for hidden elements in section/elevation.

You will have to add 2D line work.

Graphic Overrides won't work because if you can't see the elements, you can't override them.

Plus it is all one stair, so it would override the entire stair.
