PMK size

I'm an archicad 6.5 user, and i'm having troubles with the size of my files.
Every project I make, has at least 50M, (PLN, PMK, LAY, DWG, etc...).
I found out, that in archicad 7.0 has an option when saving PMK's files, that saves "only used attributes", and it decreases the size of the PMK's by 75%.
Question:
How can archicad 6.5 save these PMK's?

Sorry about my English

There is just one (of many reasons) to upgrade.

Do you have the files linked or embedded into the layout- this of course makes a huge difference

They are all linked to .LAY files.
What's the difference?

if they are embedded in the layout , the "plotfiles" are now contained in the layout and no longer needed, and for instance could be emailed without the plot files.
do a "save as" and make sure the "include linked files" is unchecked
