REVISION ID-New Drawings

Hi,

We are currently trying to use the Revision History in our Title Block but have encountered a couple of issues related to the automated Revision ID.

For the first submission set, setting the Revision ID to "00" is straightforward. Please correct me if I'm mistaken, but I believe this is done by selecting "Override Revision ID for All Included Layouts" under Transmittal Set Details.

The challenge arises with the second submission set. There are two main issues:

  1. New Drawings Receiving Incorrect Rev ID:
We’re reissuing the entire drawing pack with six new/additional drawings. However, when using automated revision IDs, all drawings added in the Book Settings are assigned "01" as their Revision ID. Technically, the new drawings should start with "00" since they are being issued for the first time.

  2. Reissued Drawings Incorrectly Incrementing:
The existing drawings being reissued should retain the "00" Revision ID, but once they’re added to the Book Settings, their Revision IDs automatically increment.

I’ve tried several adjustments but haven’t been able to resolve this issue. Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Operating system used: Mac Intel-based 15.5 Seqouia

I guess it depends on how you look at it.

I would say those new drawings are a revision of the original drawing set, so should be treated as a revision.

Might that be because you are Overriding the Revision ID and it is just stepping that? What is the issue with just setting the revision style to start with 00 on the layouts themselves and adding Changes when they occur?
