Representation of wall intersections that are at different elevations but same material

Can ArchiCAD automatically draw a line where the height of adjoining walls meet?

You could get the break with a common reference line by duplicating the Building Material (BM) with a new name and also using a duplicate of the surface material with a new name in the BM definition.

There are other options to mark wall breaks, it depends on why you need it and where you are in the documenting process.

It is also possible to set the Floor Plan Cut Plane Height to a value that is higher than the lower Wall. That way the lower Wall will be shown projected, not cut, and so there will be a division line where they meet.
Of course, in this case the lower Wall will be displayed using Uncut Line Pen so you should set it to the same Pen as the Cut Pen, otherwise there will be a difference in visual representation of the two Walls:

The only thing you need to consider is whether increasing the Floor Plan Cut Plane Height above the top of the lower Wall interferes with the Floor Plan Display of other elements such as Doors/Windows. If yes, then you may have to handle those issues.

Thanks for the other advice.

Unfortunately when used for landscape walls with various heights across a site the cutplane option is too limited.
