Section GO

Hi everyone,

I posted about this a few days ago, didn't get any solutions but used a temporary fix and got on with it.

Lo and behold, a new project, same issue. This is getting frustrating because I usually don't doctor elevations with fills but it's now part of my workflow since 24!

Here is the issue again, why aren't the override options in the section settings working for cut surfaces? below I have set it to cut fills, seems ok.

Then with own surface colours, great it works.

but when I go to override the surface, it won't change. this has never happened to me before I hope I'm missing something obvious.

I am on AC24 on a MacBook Pro 2017. Any help is very much appreciated.

FWIW, I am seeing the same result as you in AC24, AC23 works as expected. I don't know of there is some other setting that affects this, or it is a bug.

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.

Thanks for getting back to me David,

I believe it is indeed a bug as the section override should be at a higher priority to other overrides.
Hopefully will be looked at soon, I have set up a GO workaround for now.

Someone from Graphisoft may see this thread on the forum, but the best way to report a bug is through your local reseller.

Thanks for adding your signature.

Hi Nicholas,

I believe this is the same as the question posted here: https://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=70764 ?

If that is the case, this is a defect with AC24. Unfortunately, the only workaround for now is applying Graphics Override to cut surface, instead of using Cut Surface override in the Sections.

Thank you very much for your understanding!

Best regards,
Minh
