Surface colours in elevation missing

My elevation are not showing ‘Surface colours’ although I have selected the option ‘Own surface colours’ in Elevation Settings box.
Any suggestions?

Make sure you selected the option in the uncut elements tab and not in the cut elements. (that happens to me once ) and also make sure the trace and reference is off, or at least has the transparent fills and zone option off.

Can you give us a screen shot of the elevation marker in plan view, and the elevation view itself? I would be checking the Distant Area option (everything might be beyond the Distant Area line). Also check your renovation filter is not changing the materials.
