including grid in PDF ?

I can print the grid when printing directly out of my work space by checking the print grid option, but, is there a way i can include the grid out of my layout pages?

No, I don't believe you can. Only viewpoints/views can show the grid when printing or when saving as a PDF. The 'print grid' option doesn't even appear when in a layout.
