Is it the center from face to face of finish, the center of the core fill(s), or the center of the structural framing? With all of the different possible wall types this is not a simple problem to solve.
It appears Jeff is referring to placing a dimension at the center of the width of a wall, which can be accomplished as James said. I've always been disappointed that ArchiCAD cannot maintain an associated dimension to the midpoint of a wall's (or other element's) length. I would love to see the dimension tool recognize special snap points and maintain their relationship relative to changes in length. One of many needed dimension tool improvements.
