printing error in plotmaker on Mac OS X.3

I have a client that is using ArchiCad 8.1 (with updates) on Mac OS X 10.3. We recently installed an OS X (10.3) server and changed some of the network settings (i.e. ip address scheme, printers connected to computers via USB for sharing...).

One of the computers (running 10.3) is having trouble trying to print a document to an HP DeskJet 1220c from within PlotMaker. No matter what document we try he gets an error message that simply says, "error printing" and the print job dies. The DeskJet is connected to another computer via USB and is being shared thru that computer. I tried the same documents on a few other computers in the office and the documents seems to print without a problem. I am also able to print to the deskjet with any other application from the "problem computer."

I have checked for the latest OS updates on each computer and they are all up-to-date. I have deleted and reinstalled the shared USB printer on the problem computer as well as on other computers in the office, including the computer that is hosting the printer.

Otherwise they have a relatively simple network. There are 2 Linksys gigabit ethernet switches, a MacSense router (MIH-130A). The server is doing DHCP, DNS, and the Directory. All the files are on the server.

Any thoughts on what else to check for?

update:

It turns out that this computer was passed to this user and his account is the second user account (within the OS) that has been created on this machine. When I login as the original user and try to print the same document everything works correctly.

I have tried repairing the disk permissions under both the original account as well as the current account. Are there any additional (or specific) things that I should be looking for when using ArchiCad under this user? Should we just delete and reinstall archicad under this user, or is it necessary to actually format this machine and start fresh if we need a new user account??
