roofplan showing on siteplan layout

hello
I am a new user and have inherited a model which has problems when publishing pdfs of the site layout.(when the pdf is subsequently printed it is blank.) I am not sure why but maybe it is to do with the following?:

In the layout manager this drawing is created with the roofplan view layered on top of the site plan view.
Is there a way of showing in the siteplan drawing the roof even though it is on a different storey?

Are there also ways of limiting how much information is sent to the pdf ie, a cut plan that ignores information behind it? that may help.

You will have to excuse my ignorance as trying to get my head round this new way of working!

Jon,
The work flow is to create views which become the drawings you place on the layout sheets.

You can create publisher sets of layouts and/or views.

If the view's settings for layer combination, model view option (MVO), dimension, etc. are as you want the drawing to be, then you published sets will be correct.
