sections are not getting rendered

i cannot see the materials in my plans and sections , the come as line drawings with options of adding the color of the material . how can i achieve a setion with materials?

You can get shaded sections and elevations, by adjusting the Model settings of the Section/Elevation tool. If you want textured materials, you'll need to view the model in the 3D window. Perhaps a marqueed side view in the 3D axonometry window?
