text bug? in plotmaker

I cut and pasted some text from MS Word into plotmaker 9. The resulting text block "displaced" some of the text to the left of the text block (see screen capture). The displaced moves with the text block, prints as the screen capture indicates, but looks normal when editing the text block. Has anyone experienced such odd behavior? In general it seems to displace the fist line of a paragraph, but this is no consistent. Some lines do not get displaced. Any ideas of what might be going on?
