Graphisoft! You must document changes!

You have changed the way we can read the current MVO and display custom doors, windows, or other objects based on the MVO.  there is no documentation of the new way to do this and everyone is guessing in the forums.  Since you have doubled my yearly cost, please have the courtesy to document the new methods for the many people that use your fine product.  

Graphisoft should reply to this directly with the information, and then update the GDL website.  Do not rely on others to figure this out for me.  This is Graphisoft's job.  Do it!   I've just wasted a day trying to figure this out and your AI solution provided nothing but made up commands.   Very Poor.

For the ceiling objects I posted the solutions.  For doors and windows, I will post the solution, but there is  an error in the Graphisoft code that returns the same value for two different settings so I can't completely fix.   Since all these changes came about in version 28, I am surprised Graphisoft hasn't documented the new method, nor found their error.  Asso, they should have responded to my post and they did not.

Thank you for sharing your findings and concerns.

Please find attached the library release notes published since Archicad 28. These documents include the majority of the MVO-related changes and library behavior updates in the usual level of granularity, including Door/Window MVO detail level overrides.

That said, I understand your point that some implementation details affecting GDL workflows and MVO querying may still require more detailed technical documentation, especially where behavior changes can impact custom objects and scripts.

I also appreciate you highlighting the issue you found regarding the duplicated return values. I forwarded your feedback to the responsible teams for further investigation.

Thanks for the reply Magdolna, but after taking a quick scan through these, they only talk about the new library and changes.  They do not document how GDL will work with MVO.  It is not on the GDL website where it belongs.  I had to do the digging instead of going to the webpage and finding the documentation.  If I missed the section where one of these documents explains:

success = LIBRARYGLOBAL ("DWS_MVOSettings_USA",     "penDoor2DOpLine", Name_of_local_user_variable)

success = LIBRARYGLOBAL("Objects_MVOSettings", "iFixtureSymbol", Name_of_local_user_variable)

and other parameters we need for MVO display, then I apologize.  I just don't see it, and it should be prominent on the GDL website.  Searches for MVO pull up old information.

Please properly document and publish this information for the many GDL programmers out there, or send us money for having to do it ourselves.
