I still don't understand why Graphisoft settled on the current Khoros forum software, despite its glaring and long-standing unfitness for purpose.
One of its most frustratingly inept 'features' is the way that the contents of a post are just flat out deleted and an error message given when the user takes too long composing a long message before hitting 'Post' (for example, taking the time mid-sentence to fact check certain things being discussed, or to answer the phone, or whatever).
At the very least, the user should get a chance to save the contents of the post if an error occurs.
Much, MUCH better and more professional forum software options exist - and GS received plenty of feedback when first experimentally switching to Khoros and asking for feedback a few years ago, so they can't plead ignorance!
We are paying a staggering amount each year for our ArchiCAD subscriptions, so surely should be receiving an unparalleled quality of user experience, commensurate with that fee.

There's a discussion somewhere in the forum (perhaps it was in the old forum,.... or lost along with it), about a comparison of Graphisoft when it comes to feedback and wish requests, to pennies thrown down a wishing well.
Just about the same level of effectiveness in getting your wishes granted/feedback heard and acted upon.

You should get a draft saved after 30 seconds of clicking the reply button, accessible from your profile on the right side. The draft disappears once you actually post. When ever I have gotten an error message when posting, refreshing the page would prompt me whether I would like to load the draft. There is no way to mass delete drafts.

Yes - but the error message arises only after user hits 'post' .
Hitting the browser back button from the error page, the forum message composing page has been refreshed and the fields are now blank.
I do not get an option to reload autosaved draft, because by hitting 'post' it has then presumably been deleted.

This was written at 3:30, at 4:00, I was hoping to get an authentication error... Whelp that did not work... Anyway, I got an error when I hit Post on a different thread earlier and it still loaded the draft after I refreshed, though I think I got a seperate orange authentication error banner that appeared at the top of the reply box for a second when I went to edit the contents. This banner does no appear for you? It does not hang around...

Hi @Lingwisyer
I think it depends on the error - with some, I too get the message about a saved draft, but this does not always happen.
I suspect it may have something to do with being automatically signed out if there is no user activity for a while
