Clarification on Selling Custom GDL Objects Created in Archicad

Cosminn

Hi everyone,

Over the past 18 years, I’ve developed a variety of custom Archicad objects using the GDL programming language for my own use. Recently, I’ve shared some examples on social media, and they’ve received interest — including questions about purchasing them.

I’m now considering making some of these objects available for sale online, either individually or as part of an LCF library. Before moving forward, I’d like to confirm whether this would comply with Graphisoft’s End User License Agreement, given that these objects were entirely self-developed.

Thank you for your time and any guidance you can provide.

Best regards,

Daniel

Sincerely,
Daniel

People create objects and entire libraries for sale all of the time, so there should be no problems.

Just make sure the objects work in the default template of your target market.

If you want to go global, I guess use the INT template.

The reason I say that is that some language versions may have slightly different attributes.

Also be wary of what you charge.

Charge a little and people may not be too bothered if there are issues.

Charge a lot and people might expect a higher level of support and updates.
